Gasoline
As from January 2011, the 95 E10 petrol with up to 10 percent v/v ethanol is the standard petrol quality in Finland. The new 95 E10 petrol is compatible with 72 percent of all petrol driven cars. The rest of the Finnish car stock can fill up with the existing quality 98 octane petrol containing up to 5% v/v ethanol. The 95 E10 compatibility can be verified here.
Teboil gasoline keeps the engine clean
Teboil 95 E10 and 98 E5 contain additives that keep the carburrettor system and engine clean and reduce fuel consumption and exhaust emissions to as low a level as possible. With Teboil gasoline, good drivability is achieved that functions reliably throughout the year under the varying usage circumstances drivers are faced with in Finland.
Teboil valve protection additive for engines requiring exhaust valve protection
Some engines of cars that were taken into use before year 1990 were designed for leaded gasoline. These cars need exhaust valve protection when using unleaded gasoline.
A combination suitable for these engines is unleaded Teboil gasoline and Teboil valve protection additive, added from a separate container. The protective additive can be used with Teboil 95 E10 or 98 E5 in accordance with the octane number recommendation for the engine.
It is worth checking the engine’s octane number recommendation from the car’s manual or the importer’s agent. If the octane number recommendation is not known, Teboil recommends the use of 98 E5.
Clean fuel reduces emissions, increases efficiency and saves money
The significance of fuel and its additives are best seen in the engine’s input valves. In normal driving, the input valve opens more than 1000 times a minute to allow the gasoline mixture access to the combustion chamber.
If a deposit is formed on the valve surface, the ratio and flow of the fuel-air mixture will alter and fuel does not completely burn. The results of inefficient combustion are, for example, increased fuel consumption, greater exhaust emissions and increasing service costs. Additives in Teboil gasolines minimise the formation of deposit on suction valves, thus helping to ensure that fuel burns completely and the engine stays clean. A clean engine functions more efficiently, saves fuel and reduces emissions.
The combination of additives used in Teboil gasolines meets the most recent engine technical requirements and its cleaning effect has been proved in numerous demanding tests. Additional tests are continuously being carried out. For everyone’s benefit.
Reformulated gasolines reduce evaporation and exhaust emissions
‘Reformulation’ means changing the chemical structure of gasoline so that evaporation and exhaust emissions are reduced. Decreasing the content of benzene that is hazardous to health, as well as lowering vapour pressure, reduces hydrocarbon emissions in the whole distribution chain. Oxygenous components added into gasoline intensify burning and significantly reduce carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon emissions in exhaust fumes.
Low sulphur content makes the catalysator function more efficiently and extends its life. Reformulated Teboil gasolines meet all the environmental requirements of Finland and the EU.
