Hydrauliikkaöljytesti

A comprehensive, unbiased test revealed significant differences in hydraulic oils.

There are differences in hydraulic oils.

The ISO17025-certified laboratory of the Hamina lubricant factory tested the product. 23 different HVLP ISO VG 46 hydraulic oils. The comparison was based on 21 critical parametersincluding:

  • Cold flow properties and lubricity at -20°C.

  • Water and air separation capability

  • Viscosity index

  • Supplementary materials and purity requirements

The test revealed: Not all oils even meet the minimum standards. Out of the 23 oils tested, 10 did not meet the requirements of DIN 51524-3 (HVLP). Some of the products are not suitable for Finnish conditions at all. The wrong type of oil can cause significant damages in hydraulic systems - and expensive standstills.

Teboil's hydraulic oils ranked at the top of the test.

Teboil Hydraulic Oil 46S emerged as the clear number one with its excellent cold properties and performance. Teboil as well. Hydraulic Oil 46 It placed excellently in the comparison, finishing sixth and outperforming several more expensive hydraulic oils.

"A cheap purchase price can become expensive in the form of renovations. Now it's worth looking at quality - not just the price." - Tommi Luhtanen, laboratory manager

Make a smart choice even before the next service.

Make sure that the hydraulic oil you use truly protects your machinery and works efficiently even in cold weather and varying conditions.
