Press release regarding the decision of the Hämeenlinna Administrative Court on December 27th
We are pleased to operate in a country where private business is valued and discrimination is not allowed. We appreciate that in Finland, private business is protected by law regardless of foreign policy circumstances.
Teboil is pleased that the Hämeenlinna Administrative Court has overturned the decisions of the City of Lahti not to continue our lease agreements. The court stated that the city's decisions had no proper grounds and violated our right to equal treatment. This decision emphasizes the importance of the independence of private business and ensures that political decisions do not interfere with companies' business operations.
Teboil wants to emphasize once again that its business operations in Finland do not finance war. Our hope is that the discussion on this matter is based on facts, not on misleading and downright erroneous claims in the tabloids. We hope that speculation and misleading of society will stop, and issues will be discussed in the light of facts. Such actions harm the business environment in Finland, reduce business investments and resulting jobs, and limit competition. This, in turn, always leads to poorer services and higher consumer prices.
